Currently, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and over 15 million more are faced with the financial and emotional challenges of caring for a loved one with the disease. And these numbers are only rising. As the baby boomers age, 10 million individuals in this generation are expected to develop Alzheimer’s.
But there is something we can do to stop this devastating disease. We can walk together and join in the movement to end Alzheimer’s. That’s why MomsHouse is participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.
The Alzheimer’s Association®, the world’s leading voluntary organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support, is dedicated to finding methods of prevention, treatment and eventually, a cure for the disease.
MomsHouse is walking for Lucille High and we plan to raise at least $2500.00 to support the Alzheimer’s Association, which provides consultation, information and referral, and support programs to our community. This campaign has ended. Look for our 2016 walk in the near future.
Thank you in advance for your time and generosity.
This is a MomsHouse event meant to bring generations together in a fun atmosphere. Enjoy modeling teams consisting of 3 and 4 generations. Watch OG’s as they strut alongside their younger counterparts while oldies morph into more current tunes. Grab a bite, get discounts on clothing, grab a few raffle tickets and just have a great time.
Free to those 17 and under AND 60 and over. For all others there is a $5.00 donation. 50% of all profits will go to our Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign.
